FAT DISSOLVING

OVERVIEW

Aqualyx fat dissolving injections is a treatment that is proving to be a popular alternative to other fat reduction methods. The injections should be administered by an expertly trained practitioner, and can be used on a variety of areas on the body, including: stomach, thighs, flanks, hips, upper arms and under the chin. Their use is effective when addressing stubborn, pinch-able deposits of excess fat, and can help to complete the efforts of a healthy and active lifestyle.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Aqualyx works by liquidating fat cells, and destroying them permanently. The broken down cells are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system. This treatment is performed by one of our Aqualyx® expert practitioner.

Aqualyx fat dissolving injections are an excellent treatment for those looking to treat areas on the body with stubborn, localised fat.

WILL I LOSE WEIGHT?

Please note that Aqualyx® fat dissolving injection is a body contouring treatment, not a weight loss solution. Aqualyx® treatments are only applicable for small, localised areas, and patients should be already be within 1 stone of their ideal weight. For larger areas such as rolls on the stomach we recommend Cool Sculpting.

WHAT DOES HAVING AQUALYX® BODY FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS INVOLVE?

You will have a consultation with one of our Aqualyx® expert doctors, if you are deemed suitable for treatment and wish to go ahead then treatment can be performed on the same day as consultation or book a future appointment.

On the day of treatment, the area to be treated is marked out. The Aqualyx® solution is mixed with lidocaine (an anaesthetic) before injection for your comfort.

A number of injections are administered to ensure the area of fat to be removed is fully covered.

After treatment the doctor will manipulate / massage the areas and you will have to continue this massage at home for several days after your treatment

You will experience swelling /discolouration of the skin and tenderness, on most occasions you will have some bruising. The area will feel tender for 7-10 days and appear swollen for this time, similar to after having dermal fillers.

You will require 2 or 3 treatments, with improvement normally becoming visible after the second treatment.

CONSULTATION

Do I need a consultation if I know exactly what I want?

It is always recommended to have a consultation first to discuss what you want to achieve and your expectations. We can then tailor them accordingly with the treatments that we have. Sometimes, a combination of treatments may be required to achieve best results. The appropriate treatment options will be discussed, along with the potential benefits and risks to ensure you are fully informed before going ahead with any procedure.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

So you achieve the best results possible, it is essential that you have two treatments with a four-week interval in between. You will see the best possible outcome after your second treatment. Your expert dermatologist will discuss this with you during your consultation.
